Pinwheel cookies are such a colorful and tasty treat, no wonder they are loved by all. So who cares if they’re somewhat old fashioned? We can always call them “vintage cookies” and get away with it!

So cute – we used to make these as chessboards, not pinwheels, but the idea is the same, and the recipe is very similar.

Yes, it’s a pretty old and familiar recipe that always works. One of the few I don’t feel like changing. 🙂

I’ve noticed a greenish hue! 😀 I’ve already eaten so many Oznei Haman that I think by Purim I would not be able to eat any… 🙂

Here they start selling them very early. Every year they have more and more “crazy” fillings, including savory ones. 🙂

As long as they have poppy seeds somewhere, even sprinkled on top, it’s still within the tradition. I love the ones with halvah, dipped in chocolate!

mmm. . . thanks for reposting this recipe. I love pinwheel cookies. They bring back wonderful memories of eating them when I was a child. Going at a slower pace is good sometimes.
